Saco River Salmon Club
We maintain an all-volunteer hatchery for wild Atlantic Salmon for spawning wild Atlantic salmon eggs for stocking in tributaries of the Saco River in Maine. We hope that this will keep wild Atlantic salmon returning to the Saco River until the dams are removed or fish passage is installed in all dams in the Saco River. We provide eggs for the Fish Friends programs in area schools for educational purposes. We provide hatchery training for interns and citizenship volunteers from the University of New England.
