Grants of $5,000 and grants ranging from $10,000 to $15,000 to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations seeking to make better use of data. The intention of this program is to support exemplary organizations around the globe in pursuing the use of data to increase impact and make better decisions.

APT Charities funds two types of awards:

Grant: Intended for organizations with some experience using data collection and analysis to inform decision making.

Stimulus Award: Intended for organizations with little or no experience in data-driven decision making who would like to invest in collecting, validating, or analyzing data.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

APT Charities accepts applications from organizations with 501(c)(3) status, pending 501(c)(3) status, and global organizations.

APT Charities does not support political organizations or religious organizations aimed at propagating a particular faith or creed. Secular programs (such as soup kitchens, shelters, job banks, etc.) sponsored by religious organizations are eligible for a Grant or Stimulus Award.

Pre-Application Information:

Grant applications for the Spring 2018 cycle are now available below.

The deadline for online submission is April 1st, 2018. Online applications will be reviewed within four weeks of the submission deadline.

If submitting an application by mail, the postmark deadline is March 19, 2018.

To inform the final selection, advancing organizations will be invited to have a one-on-one conversation with an APT Charities member and to submit an operating budget and proof of nonprofit status. After selection, an organization will need to complete a due diligence submission before funds will be transferred.
